I have always thought that there is also space for my dream, my desire to see my name on my product, my passion for nature and, in particular for the olive tree.
Affection, Attention and Authenticity are the 3 absolute values on which all my work is based and by which I live. Moreover, I always believe a lot in what I do and I try to transmit my faith to others.
My passion was a hidden passion that came out when I met my husband with whom I share the love for nature and especially for our homeland, Apulia. The olive tree is a tree that has always fascinated me ever since I was a child. In the summer I always played with my sister in our countryside and we were in permanent contact with the beloved red soil, in the shade of giant imposing trees with dense foliage and with very twisted and particular trunks which seemed to tell us their hundred-year-old story.
Over the years I chose various paths which were completely different from today’s one, although I have always nourished my deep love for the olive tree.
When I met my husband and got to know his family background, that was similar to mine, my passion reappeared.
In 2014 I attended olive oil tasting course which gave me qualifications and I became an expert technician.
From that moment I discovered that the wonderful world embodied in my cherished dream fascinated and intrigued me more and more and I felt an integral part of it.
So I wanted to satisfy my curiosity by studying agriculture, focusing my attention mainly on the olive tree and its green gold. Consequently, I obtained my second diploma in agriculture.
Before doing anything I want to know a subject well because I am a precise person and I like to do things properly. I don’t like to improvise.
Thus the family olive grove has revived giving us its green gold, olive oil. It is a product of great quality not only thanks to careful and scrupulous management, but also thanks to its organoleptic properties: our oil is so fragrant that it can delight your sense of smell and it is so strong in flavour that it can satisfy your taste buds.
After a professor of Food Science at the University of Bologna had analyzed and evaluated different varieties of olive trees, we planted 300 young olive trees of 3 cultivars, each in the right proportion to obtain an oil of excellent quality in 2015.
It is an extra virgin olive oil obtained from new olive trees of such varieties as Coratina, Frantoio and Leccino planted in 2015.
It was a challenge to the traditions of olive cultivation in the Valle d’Itria that we wanted to face and we did it after in-depth study, carried out by university professors, which has permitted us to obtain a product of excellent quality. Thus, we got intense oil which releases the aroma that enchants you with its bitter elegant fragrance balanced by an exuberant spicy one.
To start my cosmetic line was also my lifelong dream. When I decided to fulfill it, I began to study the subject thoroughly. Then I searched for a laboratory where I could bring my ideas to life. I wanted to find it on my native land, Martina Franca in Apulia, to have a continuous link with my oil. Finally, I found the right one. Since the first time I met Dr. Abo, there have been mutual understanding between us that helped us to create the line.
